Covid-19 Outside Visitation Policy

The following restricted guidelines will be mandated for ALL visitors during their scheduled time for visitation. 

1. ALL visits must be scheduled during the following times Monday-Friday 9:00 am- 3:00pm with the Activity Director or Susan Saunders. To schedule a visit call 540-743-2273 or by email at [email protected].  Please do not leave a message stating you are coming.
2. Visits need to be scheduled at least 2 days in advance.  Visitation schedules will be on a “first come, first serve” basis.
3. All visits will be limited to 20 minutes only.
4. If visitors are late greater than 10 minutes the visit will be cancelled and will need to be rescheduled.
5. Visits may be cancelled due to inclement weather and will need to be rescheduled.
6. Visit Locations
   1. Screen Porch Visits - The resident will be inside the screen porch and the visitors will be on the outside of the screen porch.
   2. Window Visits – The resident will be inside and the visitors will be on the outside of the designated window.
7. NO family member may enter the facility nor enter the screen porch.
8. Pets are welcome to visit.
9. Visitors MUST provide and are encouraged wear masks at all times. 
10. Visitors MUST maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times and sit in the assigned sitting area.  Visitors may bring their own chairs, but must remain in the assigned sitting area.
11. NO touching or hugging or exchanging of items is permitted during these visits.
12. A Whispering Pines’ staff member will be present during ALL visitation.

 
In order to schedule times for visitation, these rules MUST be followed.  If any of the policy guidelines are not followed, visitation will be suspended to the individuals that do not comply.  Any questions or concerns can be address to Susan Saunders, Administrator.
